A fuel tank which is obtainable by a process comprising injection moulding a polymer composition containing a linear alternating copolymer of carbon monoxide and an olefinically unsaturated compound into one or more parts of the tank and joining the parts of the tank together, in which process the copolymer consists of repeating units of the formula -CO-(CH2-CH2-)- and repeating units of the general formula -CO-(G)-, where G is a moiety originating from an olefinically unsaturated compound of at least 3 carbon atoms and the molar ratio of -CO-(G)- to -CO-(CH2-CH2-)- is between 0.02 and 0.15, and the copolymer has a limiting viscosity number, measured in m-cresol at 60 ~C, of between 1.4 and 2.0 dl/g; and said process.

Cette invention concerne un réservoir de carburant obtenu par un procédé consistant, d'une part, à mouler par injection une composition polymère contenant un copolymère alterné linéaire de monoxyde de carbone ainsi qu'un composant non saturé en oléfines, ceci afin d'obtenir une ou plusieurs parties dudit réservoir, et, d'autre part, à assembler lesdites parties du réservoir. Le copolymère auquel ce procédé fait appel comprend des unités répétitives correspondant à la formule -CO-(CH¿2?-CH¿2?-)-, et des unités répétitives correspondant à la formule générale -CO-(G)-, où G est une moitié originaire d'un composé non saturé en oléfines et comportant au moins 3 atomes de carbone. Le rapport en moles de -CO-(G)- et -CO-(CH¿2?-CH¿2?-)- varie entre 0,02 et 0,15, le copolymère ayant un indice de viscosité limitant, mesuré en m-crésol et à une température de 60· C, qui varie entre 1,4 et 2,0 dl/g. Cette invention concerne également le processus de fabrication de ce réservoir.
