The current invention relates to non-lumping granular cold water swellable starch that when dispersed in water at a temperature of at least 95~C develops its full viscosity in less than 30 seconds (at a concentration above 3%) and a process for preparing them. These products can be used in food products, feed products, cosmetics, pharma products, agrochemicals, and industrial applications.

L'invention concerne de l'amidon non grumeleux, granulaire et gonflable dans l'eau froide, lequel, une fois dispersé dans l'eau à une température d'au moins 95 ?·¿C, développe sa viscosité totale en moins de 30 secondes (à une concentration supérieure à 3%), ainsi qu'un procédé de préparation de celui-ci. Les produits à base dudit amidon peuvent être utilisés dans des produits alimentaires, des produits alimentaires pour animaux, des produits cosmétiques, des produits pharmaceutiques, des produits agrochimiques et des applications industrielles.
