Frequency locked loop is applied to pitch and formant tracking. The input is demodulated (104), low pass filtered (108) and then remodulated (110) using a complex conjugate formed with a feed-forward delay (112). A feedback loop is provided using integration (120 and 124) for adjusting phase shifts. Phase shift is measured using a arctangent function (114).
