A head for a peristaltic pump that may be used for delivering ink to a flexographic printing press includes a housing and a roller assembly. The housing is adapted to receive a flexible tube. The housing has a curved wall and a clamp. The clamp secures the flexible tube within the housing. The clamp has an open position and a closed position. The clamp is in the open position when the flexible tube is able to move through an entrance and exit in the housing. The clamp is in the closed position where a first section of the flexible tube is secured in the entrance and a second section of the flexible tube is secured in the exit. The first and second sections are secured where they are not able to be pulled into the housing but are able to gradually slip out of the housing allowing the head to pump in both directions. The roller assembly is rotatable within the housing. The roller assembly rotates about an axis through the housing. The axis is coaxial to the curved wall in the housing. The roller assembly includes at least two compression rollers and at least one guide roller. The compression rollers are peripherally spaced where each of them come successively into contact with the flexible tube during rotation of the roller assembly. Successive compression rollers compress two portions of the flexible tube against the curved wall to confine a finite volume of fluid in the flexible tube. The guide rollers are peripherally spaced between the compression rollers where each of them comes into contact with the flexible tube during rotation of the roller assembly. The guide rollers guide the flexible tube to stay centered with the compression rollers and initiate decompression of the flexible tube to return to a partial compression dimension. Fluid is moved through the flexible tube by rotation of the roller assembly.
La présente invention concerne une tête de pompe péristaltique qui peut être utilisée pour apporter de l'encre à une presse d'impression flexographique comprenant un boîtier et un ensemble rouleau. Le boîtier est conçu de façon à recevoir un tuyau souple. Ce boîtier possède une paroi incurvée et une pince. La pince fixe le tuyau souple à l'intérieur du boîtier. La pince possède une position ouverte et une position fermée. La pince est en position ouverte lorsque le tube souple est capable de se déplacer à travers une entrée et une sortie de ce boîtier. La pince est en position fermée lorsqu'une première partie du tube souple est fixée dans l'entrée et qu'une seconde partie du tube souple et fixée dans la sortie. La première et la seconde partie sont fixées de sorte qu'ils ne soient pas à même d'être tirées dans le boîtier mais qu'elles soient à même de glisser graduellement en dehors du boîtier permettant à la tête de pomper dans les deux directions. L'ensemble rouleau peut tourner à l'intérieur du boîtier. L'ensemble rouleau tourne autour d'un axe à travers le boîtier. L'axe est coaxial à la paroi incurvée dans le boîtier. L'ensemble rouleau comprend au moins deux rouleaux de compression est au moins un rouleau de guidage. Les rouleaux de compression sont espacés de manière périphérique, chacun d'eux entrant en contact successivement avec de tuyau souple pendant la rotation de l'ensemble rouleau. Les rouleaux de compression successive compressent de partie du tube souple contre la parmi incurver de façon moins confinée un volume fini de fluide dans le tuyau souple. Les rouleaux de guidage sont espacés de manière périphérique entre les rouleaux de compression, chacun d'eux entrant en contact avec le tuyau souple pendant la rotation de l'ensemble rouleau. Les rouleaux de guidage guident le tuyau souple de façon que ce dernier reste centré avec les rouleaux de compression et de façon à initier une décompression du tuyau souple afin de retourner à une dimension de compression partielle. Le fluide se déplace à travers le tuyau souple par rotation de l'ensemble rouleau.
