A leverage insertion assembly for inserting and removing a carrying pipe from a main pipeline in which a fluid is flowing. The leverage device includes a hollow positioning pipe in which the carrying pipe is inserted. The positioning pipe is connected to the main pipeline with a gate valve attached to the positioning pipe designed to open and close the positioning pipe. Formed on the outer surface of the section of positioning pipe on the side of the gate valve opposite the main pipeline is a spiral cut-out. Handles are attached to the sides of the carrying pipe positioned inside the positioning pipe and extend through the spiral cut-out. During operation, the carrying pipe is moved longitudinally inside the positioning pipe when the handles are forced to follow the spiral cut-out. When the carrying pipe has been moved a sufficient distance inside the positioning pipe to clear the gate valve, the gate valve may be closed thereby closing the positioning pipe. The carrying pipe can then be removed from the positioning pipe.

La surface extérieure du tuyau de positionnement située du côté du robinet-vanne, à l'opposé du pipeline, est percée en forme de spirale. Des poignées, fixées sur les côtés de la conduite insérée dans le tuyau de positionnement, dépassent par la fente en spirale. Pendant l'opération, la conduite se déplace longitudinalement à l'intérieur du tuyau de positionnement et les poignées doivent suivre l'espace spiralé. Une fois que la conduite a parcouru une distance suffisante à l'intérieur du tuyau de positionnement pour dégager le robinet-vanne, ce dernier peut être fermé, ce qui, par conséquent, ferme le tuyau de positionnement. La conduite peut alors être retirée du tuyau de positionnement.
