The object of the invention is to provide a magnetic-backed time-indicating device which indicates the time with parts adhered magnetically to a ferrous metal surface. A timepiece is constructed of a hand assembly (16) including a clock movement (10) and hands (12). A magnet (18) is affixed to the hand assembly (16) so that the hand assembly (16) may be magnetically mounted on a ferrous metal object (28). In another version, there is further provided magnetic ornamental indicator(s) (22) which indicate the time. In still another version, an ornamental ferrous metal object (24) is provided and attached to the clock movement (10) and hands (12). In this same version, the drive shaft (14) extends through the ornamental ferrous metal object (24), and the magnet (18) is also affixed to the hand assembly (16). Also in this version, magnetic ornamental indicator(s) (22) may be further provided. Yet another version provides the hand assembly (16) including a clock movement (10) and hands (12) with a non- magnetic adhesive (26) by which the hand assembly (16) affixes to the ferrous metal object (28). In this same version, magnetic ornamental indicator(s) (22) may be further provided and attached to the clock movement (10) and hands (12), and the drive shaft (14) may extend through the ornamental object (20).
L'invention concerne un dispositif donnant l'heure, dont l'arrière est magnétique et qui comporte des éléments capables d'adhérer magnétiquement à une surface en métal ferreux. La pièce d'horlogerie comprend un système d'horlogerie (16) avec un mouvement d'horlogerie (10) et des aiguilles (12). Un aimant (18) est fixé sur le système d'horlogerie (16), de sorte que celui-ci peut être monté magnétiquement sur un objet en métal ferreux (28). Dans une autre version, on fournit des indicateurs de l'heure ornementaux magnétiques (22). Dans une autre version encore, on prévoit un objet ornemental en métal ferreux (24), fixé au système de mouvement d'horlogerie (10) et d'aiguilles (12). Dans cette même version, l'arbre d'entraînement (14) traverse l'objet ornemental en métal ferreux (24) et l'aimant (18) est également fixé au système d'horlogerie (16). Egalement, dans cette version, on peut prévoir un ou plusieurs indicateurs ornementaux magnétiques (22). Dans une autre version encore, on prévoit un système d'horlogerie (16) comprenant un mouvement d'horlogerie (10) et des aiguilles (12) avec un adhésif non magnétique (26) utilisé pour fixer le système d'horlogerie (16) à l'objet en métal ferreux (28). Dans cette même version, on peut prévoir un ou plusieurs indicateurs ornementaux magnétiques (22) et les fixer au système de mécanisme d'horlogerie (10) et d'aiguilles (12), et l'arbre d'entraînement (14) peut traverser l'objet ornemental (20).
