The invention relates to a method and a device for measuring the amount/activity of the enzyme catalase before or in connection with bleaching of cellulose fibres preferably in a pulp suspension for the purpose of providing a better and more uniform product quality and a correct dosing of the actual bleaching substance during the bleaching. According to the invention a measurement sample is derived from a predetermined volume of the pulp suspension after or during the bleaching. Further, a determined amount of bleaching substance is added to the sample, which is agitated so that the bleaching substance is decomposed and oxygen gas is generated, which oxygen gas pushes out a certain sample volume from the measurement sample, which sample volume is measured after a determined time and is directly or indirectly converted, e.g. via a simple algorithm, to a value representing the actual amount of catalase.
L'invention concerne un procédé et dispositif pour mesurer la quantité ou l'activité de l'enzyme catalase avant ou en rapport avec une opération de blanchiment de fibres cellulosiques contenues de préférence dans une suspension pâteuse, en vue d'obtenir un produit plus homogène et de meilleure qualité ainsi qu'un dosage approprié de la substance de blanchiment effective pendant le blanchiment. Selon l'invention, un échantillon de mesure est prélevé d'un volume préétabli de la suspension pâteuse après ou pendant le blanchiment. Une quantité préétablie de la substance de blanchiment est ensuite ajoutée à l'échantillon, lequel est agité pour décomposer la substance de blanchiment et obtenir un gaz oxygène. Ce gaz oxygène expulse un certain volume d'échantillon de l'échantillon de mesure, lequel volume d'échantillon est mesuré après un laps de temps déterminé puis transformé directement ou indirectement, par exemple, au moyen d'un algorithme simple, en une valeur représentant la quantité réelle de la catalase.
