In an arrangement for securing an ADSL connection to an ADSL transceiver (4) connected together with a telephone (1) to a common telephone line (2, 3), there are means for setting a first number and a second, lower number, respectively, of bits to be allocated to the ADSL connection. Moreover, there are means (7, 8) for detecting whether or not a ringing signal is present on the line and whether the telephone (1) is in the off-hook or the on-hook condition. The first number of bits is allocated when neither the ringing signal nor the off-hook condition is detected, and the second, lower number of bits is allocated when the ringing signal and/or the off-hook condition is detected.
L'invention concerne un système permettant de fixer la connexion ADSL (ligne d'abonné numérique asymétrique) à un émetteur ADSL (4) qui est relié, ainsi qu'un téléphone (1) à une ligne téléphonique commune (2, 3). Des moyens permettent de régler un premier nombre et un deuxième nombre, respectivement inférieur, de bits à affecter à la connexion ADSL. En outre, des moyens (7, 8) permettent de détecter si un signal d'appel est présent sur la ligne et si le téléphone (1) est en position combiné décroché ou en position de repos. Le premier nombre de bits est affecté si le signal d'appel pas plus que la position combiné décroché ne sont pas détectés. En revanche, le deuxième nombre de bits, inférieur, est affecté si le signal d'appel et/ou la position combiné décroché sont détectés.
