An improved system for connecting and processing a plurality of phone users in a teleconference on a common digital bus. The apparatus includes a plurality of digital processing units (DSPs) associated with selective phone lines and in communication with each other. Each DSP determines an activity status for each associated phone line and transmits that status to the other DSPs. The DSPs create and update respective identical "talk-lists" which reflect the active conferees whose voice data is currently being output on the phone channels. The system thus provides scaleable teleconferencing in a real-time configuration without switching between the various signals on the common bus such that each incoming caller or even a plurality of conferences has equal priority.
L'invention concerne un système perfectionné pour la connexion et le traitement d'une pluralité d'utilisateurs du téléphone dans une téléconférence sur un bus numérique commun. Ledit appareil est constitué d'une pluralité d'unités de traitement numérique (DSP) associées à des lignes téléphoniques sélectives et en communication les unes avec les autres. Chaque DSP détermine un état d'activité pour chaque ligne téléphonique associée et transmet cet état aux autres DSP. Lesdits DSP créent et mettent à jour des listes d'intervention identiques respectives qui représentent les participants actifs dont les données vocales sont en cours de sortie sur les voies téléphoniques. Ledit système assure également la téléconférence selon une configuration en temps réel sans commutation entre les divers signaux sur le bus commun de sorte que chaque appelant entrant voire même une pluralité de conférence aient la même priorité.
