Disclosed are methods for making large area antiscatter grids consisting of focussed and unfocussed holes in sheets of metal. The grid consists of thin metal walls (30) surrounding hollow openings (31). The projections of all walls converge to a focal spot in the focussed grid, and are parallel in an unfocussed grid. A grid having a large area is made by interlocking together smaller grid pieces. A tall device is made by stacking layers of focussed grids. The openings of the grid can be filled with phosphor or other scintillating material (33) to make an integrated grid/scintillator structure.
L'invention porte sur des procédés de fabrication de grandes grilles antidiffusion constituées de trous focalisés et non focalisés dans des feuilles de métal. Ces grilles sont faites dans des parois métalliques minces (30) qui entourent les orifices creux (31). Les parties saillantes de toutes les parois convergent vers un point focal de la grille focalisée et sont parallèles dans une grille non focalisée. Une grille de grande surface est obtenue par assemblage de pièces plus petites. Un dispositif de grande dimension est obtenu par empilage de couches de grilles focalisées. Les orifices de la grille peuvent être remplis de phosphore ou autre scintillateur (33) de façon à obtenir une structure intégrée grille/scintillateur.
