The methods and systems of the present invention securely enable the principal functions in e-commerce, in a coherent and less complex manner when compared to existing models. It is of direct application to MSO electronic stores with one or more affiliated merchants. Advantageously, the invention can be used to enable e-commerce transactions between a merchant (135) and a consumer via an entertainment terminal (100). The entertainment terminal (100) is capable of providing a consumer with access to a selection of goods and services (140) provided by one or more merchant(s) (135) via a merchant transaction server (150). The invention offers the existing base of cable system operators an alternate avenue to control e-commerce, facilitate per-transaction tracking and/or revenue collection and monitoring.
L'invention concerne des procédés et des systèmes permettant de réaliser, de manière sécurisée, les principales opérations du commerce électronique, de façon cohérente et moins complexe comparée à d'autres modèles. Cela peut s'appliquer directement aux magasins électroniques d'opérateurs de télévision câblée multiples, avec un ou plusieurs commerçants affiliés. Cette invention peut servir à mettre en place avantageusement des transactions de commerce électronique entre un commerçant (135) et un client par le biais d'un terminal de divertissement (100). Ce terminal de divertissement (100) peut fournir au client, un accès à une sélection de produits et de services (140) offerte par un ou plusieurs commerçant(s) (135) via un serveur de transaction commerciale (150). Cette invention offre à la base préexistante des opérateurs de télévision câblée une alternative, afin de contrôler le commerce électronique, de faciliter le suivi des transactions et/ou la collecte et le contrôle des recettes.
