A method for manipulating screen assemblies in a vibratory separator, the method comprising the steps of positioning a first screen assembly in holding apparatus of a vibratory separator, connecting a second screen assembly to the first screen assembly and moving the first screen assembly by manipulating the second screen assembly. Also disclosed is a screen assembly for a vibratory separator, the screen assembly comprising screening material, a support for supporting the screening material and interconnection apparatus on the support for releasably connecting the screen assembly to an adjacent screen assembly.
