A combined power generation system that includes a generator driven by both a steam turbine and a gas turbine. The steam turbine includes a rotor provided with a mono-block rotor shaft, multi-stage blades fixed on the mono-block rotor shaft from a high pressure side to a low pressure side. Final stage blades (e.g. made from Ti-based alloy) are provided at the low pressure side where, ideally, the final stage blades have a length not less than 40 inches (at 3000 rpm shaft rotation) or 33.5 inches (at 3600 rpm). The gas turbine includes movable turbine blades (e.g. made from Ni-based cast alloy).
