A process is described for producing foam materials from two-component reactive plastics using carbon dioxide as blowing agent by mixing at least one of the reactive components with carbon dioxide under pressure, mixing the components, at least one of which contains carbon dioxide under pressure, expanding the reactive mixture containing carbon dioxide obtained by mixing, and hardening, wherein the expansion takes place suddenly with the production of high rates of shear. Preferably the rate of flow of the reaction mixture is reduced after expansion.

L'invention concerne un procédé de production de matériaux en mousse à partir de plastiques réactifs comprenant deux constituants et à l'aide de dioxyde de carbone en tant qu'agent porogène, ce procédé consistant à mélanger au moins l'un des constituants réactifs avec le dioxyde de carbone sous pression, à mélanger les constituants dont au moins l'un de ceux-ci contient du dioxyde de carbone sous pression, à dilater le mélange réactif obtenu contenant du dioxyde de carbone, puis à durcir ce mélange, ce procédé étant caractérisé en ce que la dilatation se déroule soudainement lors de la production de taux élevés de cisaillement. De préférence, on réduit la vitesse d'écoulement du mélange de réaction après dilatation.
