The present invention provides a process for preparing a novel phenylalanine derivative of the formula (I): (See formula I) wherein X1 is a halogen atom, X2 is a halogen atom, Q is a group of the formula -CH2- or -(CH2)2- and Y is a lower alkyl group, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. The derivatives of the present invention have excellent inhibitory effects on .alpha.4 integrin-mediated cell adhesion. The invention is further directed to an intermediate useful in the process.
L'invention porte sur un procédé de préparation d'un nouveau dérivé de la phénylalanine de formule (I) dans laquelle: X1 est un atome d'halogène, X2 est un atome d'halogène, Q est un groupe de formule -CH2- or -(CH2)2- et Y est un groupe alkyle inférieur, et d'un de ses sels pharmacocompatibles, qui présentent d'excellents effets inhibiteurs de l'adhésion cellulaire médiée par l'intégrine A4, et sur un intermédiaire utilisé dans ledit procédé.
