An elongate cultivating tool adapted to be supported at each end so as to be able in use to rotate about a longitudinal axis. The cultivating tool comprises an elongate cylindrical support (1) which may be a helical coil spring, a plurality of cultivating elements (2) on a peripheral cylindrical surface of the cylindrical support, each cultivating element linking up with four other like cultivating elements on the peripheral cylindrical surface and one and preferably two tines (3) extending from each cultivating element. There may be two banks of cultivating elements on the tool to give a greater number of tines on the tool. The axle (6) to support the cylindrical support for rotation may be telescopic to provide tension to maintain the position of the cultivating elements. The cultivating elements are formed from metal rod and in one form comprise a U-shaped body with each leg of the U-shaped body including a bend out of the play of the body with each portion beyond the bend comprising a tine. In another form the elements comprise a circular loop portion, two tangential legs extending from the loop portion and crossing each other and each leg including a bend out of the plane of the loop portion beyond the crossing with each portion of the leg beyond the bend comprising the tine.
Outil allongé de travail du sol, adapté pour être supporté à chaque extrémité, de manière à pouvoir, lors de son utilisation, tourner autour d'un axe longitudinal. L'outil de travail du sol comprend un support cylindrique allongé (1) qui peut être un ressort hélicoïdal, une pluralité d'éléments de travail du sol (2) sur une surface cylindrique périphérique du support cylindrique. Dans une forme de réalisation, ils comprennent un corps en forme de U, dont chaque pied comporte une partie incurvée hors du plan du corps, une dent étant prévue sur chaque partie située au-delà de la partie incurvée. Dans une autre forme de réalisation, les éléments comprennent une partie formant boucle circulaire, deux pieds tangentiels s'étendant à partir de la partie formant boucle et se croisant. Par ailleurs, chaque pied comprend une partie incurvée hors du plan de la partie formant boucle au-delà du point de croisement, une dent étant prévue sur chaque partie du pied située au-delà de la partie incurvée.
