A system and method to enhance moveable platform operation and utility. The system that includes an image capturing device, a processor and a display device. The image capturing device is coupled to the moveable platform for generating image data. The processor is for receiving the image data and for performing directional operations on the image data generating processed image output. The display device for receiving and displaying the processed image output. The method includes the steps of capturing an image, processing the image using directional operations, and displaying the image. An advantage of the invention is that it enhances the visually dependent aspects of moveable platform operation and utility. Embodiments of the invention may include image stabilization, object distance, recognition and analysis, platform control and communications. Moveable platforms may include cars, trucks, tanks, aircraft, manned or robotic extraterrestrial vehicles, marine vessels, cranes, apparel or animals.
