The invention comprises a continuous hot rolling method in which a rear end portion of a preceding metal block and a fore end portion of a succeeding metal block are cut and the metal blocks are joined to each other by heating and pressing followed by a finish rolling. A region of each metal block is restrained from a clamping position to the end portion thereof in order to prevent a change in level of the metal blocks in heating and pressing the piece. The end portions of the metal blocks can be thus prevented from deformation.

La présente invention a pour objet un procédé de laminage à chaud en continu dans lequel la partie arrière d'un premier bloc de métal et la partie avant d'un deuxième bloc de métal sont découpées, chauffées et assemblées par pressage avant une opération de laminage de finition. Une partie de chacun des blocs de métal est préservée de l'action de serrage afin de prévenir tout changement de hauteur du bloc de métal en cours de chauffage et de pressage. Les extrémités des blocs de métal sont ainsi préservées de toute déformation.
