A virtual musical instrument including a hand-held accessory (300) of a type that is intended to be brought into contact with a musical instrument so as to play that instrument. The hand-held accessory includes a switch (304) which, in response to the hand-held accessory being caused to strike another object by a person holding it, generates an activation signal. The musical instrument also includes an audio synthesizer, a memory storing a sequence of notes data structures for a musical score, a timer, and a digital processor receiving the activation signal and generating a control signal therefrom.
Cet instrument de musique virtuelle comprend un accessoire (300) que l'on tient dans la main, du type conçu pour être mis en contact avec un instrument de musique, de manière à jouer de cet instrument. Cet accessoire comporte un commutateur (304), lequel, en réponse au fait qu'une personne frappe un autre objet à l'aide dudit accessoire, produit un signal d'activation. L'instrument de musique comprend également un synthétiseur audio, une mémoire de stockage d'une séquence de structures de données de notes destinées à une illustration musicale, un minuteur ainsi qu'un organe de traitement numérique, lequel reçoit le signal d'activation et produit un signal de commande à partir de celui-ci.
