An acoustical earmuff device (100) is presented, incorporating a snap-in molded foam cushion (112) into an earmuff cup (122). The molded foam cushion (112) has an annular recess (118) adjacent the edge, matching a protrusion (117) near the edge of the earmuff cup (122), whereby the foam cushion may be snapped into the earmuff cup (122). Preferably, the cushion has a beveled or curved shape for optimal contact around the ear, an integrated sound- absorptive liner (114), and a stiffer interface layer to facilitate the cushion being snapped into the earmuff. The complete earmuff device of the present invention may have as few as three parts.
Dispositif antibruit (100) de protection des oreilles contenant un coussinet moulé en mousse (112) introduit de façon encliquetable à l'intérieur de la coupelle (122) dudit dispositif. Ce coussinet moulé en mousse (112) présente un creux annulaire (118) contigu au bord et épousant la forme d'une saillie (117) située à proximité du bord de la coupelle (122), ce qui permet d'y introduire le coussinet en mousse en l'encliquetant. Ce coussinet possède, de préférence, une forme conique ou incurvée optimisant le contact autour de l'oreille, une doublure intégrée (114) amortissant le bruit, ainsi qu'une couche de contact plus rigide, ce qui permet d'encliqueter plus facilement le coussinet dans le dispositif antibruit. Ce dispositif antibruit de protection des oreilles peut ne posséder pas plus de trois pièces.
