A dry flowable additive for aqueous urea-based fertilizers made of solid urea formaldehyde polymer (UFP), N-(n-butyl) thiophosphoric triamide (NBPT), and, optionally, dicyandiamide (DCD), wherein the liquid fertilizer containing the additive provides reduced nitrogen loss from the soil. Optionally, the dry additive may also be blended with molten or solid urea to form a solid urea- based fertilizer with reduced nitrogen loss from the soil.

La présente invention concerne un additif fluide sec pour des engrais aqueux à base d~urée composé d~un polymère solide d~urée et de formaldéhyde (UFP), du N-(n-butyl)triamide de l~acide thiophosphorique (NBPT), et éventuellement, du dicyanodiamide (DCD), l'engrais liquide contenant l'additif donnant une plus petite perte d'azote provenant du sol. Eventuellement, l'additif sec peut également être mélangé avec une urée fondue ou solide de façon à former un engrais à base d~urée solide ayant une plus petite perte d'azote provenant du sol.
