The present invention is directed toward an adhesive for and a method for bonding artificial plastic teeth to a denture base. The adhesive employs a number of adhesion promoter monomers, dimers or oligomers and a cure package, as well as methyl acetate as a solvent. The method according to the invention includes exposing a plastic tooth to the adhesive and allowing the plastic to soften (not dissolve). The adhesion promoter chains infiltrate the plastic tooth matrix, such that upon curing a secure bond is formed.

La présente invention se rapporte à un adhésif et à un procédé permettant de coller des dents artificielles en plastique sur une plaque base. Ledit adhésif contient un certain nombre de monomères, de dimères et d'oligomères promoteurs d'adhésion et un complexe de durcissement, ainsi qu'un solvant sous forme d'acétate de méthyle. Le procédé selon l'invention consiste à exposer une dent en plastique à un adhésif, et à permettre le ramollissement (mais non la dissolution) du plastique. Les chaînes de promoteurs d'adhésion infiltrent la matrice de la dent en plastique, de façon qu'une liaison fiable soient formée lors du durcissement.
