An air ratchet hand tool has an elongated, generally cylindrical handle portion (16) with an axial air inlet passage (19) therethrough, and having an outer surface with two longitudinally extending channels (31, 32) formed therein, each communicating with an air motor (15). A thermoplastic grip jacket (40) covers the handle portion (16) and cooperates with the channels (31, 32) to form therebetween two exhaust air passages (50, 51) which exit at the distal end of the handle (52). Longitudinal ribs (46-48) on the jacket project radially inwardly into engagement with longitudinal recesses (31, 32) in the handle portion to inhibit relative rotational movement, while a lug (38) on the handle portion extends through an opening in the jacket to inhibit relative axial movement.
On décrit un outil à main pneumatique à cliquet qui comprend une poignée allongée (16), généralement cylindrique. Cette poignée est munie, sur son axe, d'un passage (19) traversant pour l'écoulement de l'air, et présente une surface extérieure qui comporte deux canaux longitudinaux (31, 32) communiquant chacun avec le moteur à air comprimé (15). Une gaine antidérapante thermoplastique (40) habille la poignée (16) et coopère avec les canaux (31, 32) pour former entre ces derniers deux passages (50, 51) d'évacuation d'air sortant sur l'extrémité distale (52) de la poignée. La gaine est creusée de nervures longitudinales (46-48) qui présentent des protubérances radiales tournées vers l'intérieur et pénétrant dans des évidements longitudinaux (31, 32) ménagés dans la poignée pour empêcher un mouvement rotatif relatif. Un taquet disposé sur la poignée s'étend à travers un orifice de la gaine pour empêcher un mouvement axial relatif. Une enveloppe (38) de déclencheur souple et élastique recouvre le déclencheur de la soupape et l'orifice de la gaine à travers lequel il fait saillie.
