The invention relates to an alkali-free aluminoboro- silicate glass which has the following composition (in % by weight , based an oxide): Si02>60 - 65; 8,0, 6.5 - 9.5; A1203 14 - 21; Mg0 1 - 8; Ca0 1 - 6 ; sr0 1 - 9 ; Ba0 0.1 - 3.5; with Mg0 + Ca0 + Sr0 + Ba0 8 - 16 ; . Zr02 0.1 - 1.5 ; Sn02 0,1 - 1; TiO2 0.1 - 1; CeO2 0.01 -1. The glass is particularly suitable for use as a substrate glass in display technology.
