ALUMINUM ELECTROLYTIC CAPACITOR Abstract of the Disclosure The anode foil of an aluminum electrolytic capacitor bears both a layer of hydrous aluminum oxide and a layer of barrier dielectric oxide and is in contact with an electrolyte containing additives of up to 5 wt% depolarizer and sufficient soluble phosphate salt to restore the desired anodization voltage.
