The invention relates to an apparatus for percussive harmonic musical synthesis which facilitates state-of-the-art musical expression. It generates melodic sound, bearing well defined tone and note pitch, by striking of uniquely configured multiple note activation trigger mechanism surfaces (termed muzi-pads) with an appropriately sized mallet, stick or other such similar playing implement, for the generation of a desired note, by a given MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) device. It provides an enhanced emulation of the traditional tenor steel pan in its interaction with the player.
Appareil de synthèse musicale harmonique a percussion (APHAMS) qui facilite une expression musicale perfectionnée grâce à la génération d'un son mélodieux, aux tons et aux hauteurs de note bien définis, par la frappe sur les surfaces d'un mécanisme de déclenchement d'activation de notes multiples à configuration unique, appelées muzi-pads, à l'aide d'un maillet, d'une baguette ou autre accessoire de musique analogue pour l'obtention de la note recherchée. L'appareil, qui fait appel à un dispositif MIDI donné, surpasse le tambour métallique ténor traditionnel, dans son interface avec le joueur
