An anchor sheet subfloor that includes a laminate having an upper layer of relatively thin flexible rigid sheet material and a bottom layer of a relatively resilient cushioning material. The upper sheet layer can be formed of a plastic or polymer material. In one arrangement, the sheet can be cut and fit within the boundaries of a room and the sheet has sufficient rigidity and mass to remain without distortion or buckling within the room by free floating on the existing floor without substantial attachment to the floor. It can be possible for a sheet to be cut and fit on site to fit the contours of a room to form by itself or in combination with other anchor sheets a free floating smooth subfloor on which can be overlaid decorative covering pieces. A method for installing the modular framework includes placing a jig of a pre-determined size in a location to be covered, locating covering modules in an interlocking relationship around the perimeter of the jig, removing the jig, and installing a decorative covering in the space formely occupied by the jig.
L'invention porte sur un plancher brut constitué d'une planche de fixation et comprenant un laminé constitué d'une couche supérieure d'un matériau ayant la forme d'une planche rigide, flexible et mince, et d'une couche inférieure de matériau de bourrage relativement résilient. La couche supérieure peut être fabriquée dans une matière plastique ou polymère. Selon un agencement, la planche peut être découpée et adaptée aux dimensions d'une pièce, et présente une rigidité et une masse suffisantes, sans être fixée solidement au plancher, de sorte qu'elle ne se déforme ou ne se gondole pas dans la pièce en flottant librement sur le plancher existant. Il est possible de découper et de fixer sur place la planche pour l'adapter aux contours d'une pièce de sorte qu'elle forme elle-même ou en combinaison avec d'autres planches de fixation un plancher brut à surface lisse, flottant librement, sur lequel on peut placer des éléments de recouvrement décoratifs. L'invention porte également sur un procédé d'installation d'une structure modulaire qui consiste à placer un gabarit d'une taille prédéterminée à un endroit devant être recouvert, à placer ensuite des modules de recouvrement solidaires sur le périmètre du gabarit, à retirer le gabarit et installer un revêtement décoratif dans l'espace précédemment occupé par le gabarit.
