An anhydrous tire sealant and inflator composition. The composition comprises gaseous hydrofluorocarbon propellant, a sealant composition and an anhydrous solvent blend for the sealant composition. The solvent has a boiling point of 35-320°C and does not exhibit a flash point (Seta-flash closed-Cup) below 115°C. The solvent blend liquid chlorinated hydrocarbon and a liquid hydrocarbon, in which the liquid chlorinated hydrocarbon is methylene chloride, trichloroethylene and perchloroethylene, and mixtures thereof. The liquid hydrocarbon has a flash point of at least 35°C and having an evaporation rate greater than 0.03 relative to the evaporation rate of n-butyl acetate. The liquid hydrocarbon is selected from paraffins, isoparaffins and cycloparaffins of 9-16 carbon atoms and is 10-60% by weight of the solvent. Aerosol containers containing the composition are also disclosed.
