The disclosure herein describes an anti-skid heel attachment which comprises a plate with straps for attaching the plate to the heel portion of a user's foot. The plate has a horizontal portion to lie under the heel and a back plate to bear against the rear of the heel. The straps are engaged to the horizontal portion and to the rear portion, one strap having front open ends which are fastened at the instep of the user's foot.
