The apparatus of the present invention contains at least one pressure vessel (V1) having a separator (10) defining two chambers (C1, C2) within each pressure vessel (V1). The separator (10) slideably seals the two chambers (C1, C2). Feedstock is placed within a second chamber adjoining the first chamber via a feedstock pump (P1) operating in a high volume low head mode. A pressurizer (P2) operates in a low volume high pressure mode to pressurize the working fluid and the feedstock in the pressure vessels to a process operating pressure. A circulating pump (P3) operates in a high volume, low head mode to circulate feedstock through the process. A fourth pump (P4) is used for moving feedstock and product at a pressure below the process operating pressure.
L'appareil selon l'invention contient au moins un récipient sous pression (V1) doté d'un séparateur (10) définissant deux chambres (C1, C2) dans chaque récipient (V1). Le séparateur (10) sépare de manière étanche et coulissante les deux chambres (C1, C2). On place la charge d'alimentation dans une seconde chambre attenante à la première chambre, par l'intermédiaire d'une pompe (P1) à charge d'alimentation fonctionnant dans un mode à faible charge de pression et volume élevé. Un pressuriseur (P2) fonctionne en mode haute pression et faible volume pour pressuriser le liquide de travail et la charge d'alimentation dans les récipients sous pression à une pression de service du procédé. Une pompe de circulation (P3) fonctionne en mode à faible charge de pression et volume élevé pour faire circuler la charge d'alimentation dans le procédé. Une quatrième pompe (P4) est utilisée pour déplacer la charge d'alimentation et le produit à une pression inférieure à la pression de service du procédé.
