A medical intratherapeutic diagnostic system (1) includes a signal analyzer (10), and a pressure sensor device (4) adapted for use in the fluid delivery system of a living body, such as a blood vessel system. The system (1) measures flow disturbances found within the blood vessel for the purpose of determining the characteristics of the blood vessel walls including indications of stenosis, aneurism, therapeutic success (balloon dilatation, dissection or stent malposition). The flow disturbance measured is created by the blood flow within areas of atherosclerotic occlusion of blood vessels. The system (1) of the present invention increases the amount of knowledge available to the treating physician about the occlusion size, and blood flow capacity.
L'invention concerne un système diagnostique intrathérapeutique médical (1) comportant un dispositif analyseur de signaux (4) et un capteur de pression (4) à utiliser dans le système de distribution de fluide d'un corps vivant, tel que le système vasculaire. Le système (1) de l'invention mesure les perturbations de débit dans un vaisseau sanguin, en vue de déterminer des caractéristiques des parois dudit vaisseau, dont des indications de sténose, d'anévrisme, de succès thérapeutique (dilatation du ballonnet, dissection ou mauvais positionnement d'extenseur). Les perturbations de débit mesurées sont induites par le débit sanguin dans des zones d'occlusion athérosclérotiques de vaisseaux sanguins. Le système (1)de l'invention permet d'accroître la quantité d'informations à la disposition du médecin traitant sur la taille de l'occlusion et la capacité de débit sanguin.
