An apparatus (10) for pressurising an aircraft cabin structure (12) and measuring the amount of leakage of the aircraft cabin structure (12) comprises an air supply line (14) which at a first end is connectable to a pressurized air source and which at a second end is connectable to the aircraft cabin structure (12) so as to supply pressurized air from the pressurized air source into the aircraft cabin structure (12), an air supply valve (36) disposed in the air supply line (14), a pressure sensor (50) for sensing the pressure inside the aircraft cabin structure (12) and for providing signals indicative of the pressure inside the aircraft cabin structure (12), an air discharge line (42) which at a first end is connectable to the aircraft cabin structure (12) an which at a second end is connectable to an air discharge opening (44) so as to discharge air from the inside of the cabin structure (12) to the air discharge opening (44), and an air discharge valve (48) disposed in the air discharge line (42). An electronic control unit (ECU) is adapted to control the air supply valve (36) and the discharge valve (48) in dependence on signals provided by the pressure sensor (50) so as to supply pressurized air into the aircraft cabin structure (12) until a first predetermined pressure level is reached inside the aircraft cabin structure (12), to maintain the pressure inside the aircraft cabin structure (12) at the first predetermined level for a first predetermined period of time, and thereafter to discharge air from the inside of the aircraft cabin structure (12).
Appareil (10) de pressurisation d'une structure de cabine (12) d'aéronef et de mesure de la fuite de la structure de cabine (12) d'aéronef, comprenant une conduite d'alimentation en air (14) apte à être raccordée par une première extrémité à une source d'air pressurisé et apte à être raccordée par une seconde extrémité à la structure de cabine (12) d'aéronef, de sorte à fournir de l'air pressurisé issu de la source d'air pressurisé à l'intérieur de la structure de cabine (12) d'aéronef. Ledit appareil comprend en outre une vanne d'alimentation en air (36) disposée dans la conduite d'alimentation en air (14) et un capteur de pression (50) pour détecter la pression à l'intérieur de la structure de cabine (12) d'aéronef et pour émettre des signaux indiquant la pression à l'intérieur de la structure de cabine (12) d'aéronef. Ledit appareil comprend de plus une conduite d'évacuation d'air (42) apte à être raccordée par une première extrémité à la structure de cabine (12) d'aéronef, et apte à être raccordée par une seconde extrémité à une ouverture d'évacuation d'air (44), de manière à évacuer l'air issu de l'intérieur de la structure de cabine (12) vers l'ouverture d'évacuation d'air (44), ainsi qu'une vanne d'évacuation d'air (48) disposée dans la conduite d'évacuation d'air (42). Une unité de commande électronique (ECU) est adaptée pour commander la vanne d'alimentation en air (36) et la vanne d'évacuation d'air (48) en fonction des signaux transmis par le capteur de pression (50) de sorte à : fournir de l'air pressurisé dans la structure de cabine (12) d'aéronef jusqu'à ce qu'un premier niveau prédéterminé de pression soit atteint à l'intérieur de la structure de cabine (12) d'aéronef ; maintenir la pression à l'intérieur de la structure de cabine (12) d'aéronef au premier niveau prédéterminé pendant un premier laps de temps prédéterminé ; et évacuer suite à cela l'air de l'intérieur de la structure de cabine (12) d'aéronef.
