The invention relates to an apparatus and a method for manufacturing clinker, such as cement clinker, in which the majority of the raw materials is present in a hydrous slurry. Initially, the slurry is dried in a gas suspension drier, and the raw materials are subsquently passed to a thermal unit in which the heating of the raw material is effected fairly quickly so that all organic compounds are destroyed in the thermal unit. Subsequent to being heated in the thermal unit, the raw material is directed to the kiln in which it is nodulized and burned into clinker.
L'invention se rapporte à un appareil et à un procédé permettant de fabriquer du clinker, tel que le clinker à ciment, dans lequel la majorité des matières premières se présente sous forme de coulis hydraté. En premier lieu, on sèche le coulis dans un appareil de séchage à suspension gazeuse, puis on achemine les matières premières jusqu'à une unité thermique où le chauffage de la matière première s'effectue assez rapidement de manière à provoquer la destruction de toutes les matières organiques dans l'unité thermique. Après avoir été chauffées dans l'unité thermique, les matières premières sont acheminées vers le four où elles sont agglomérées et cuites jusqu'à leur transformation en clinker.
