This invention is an apparatus and method for performing transmyocardial revascularization (TMR) wherein epicardial tissue (52) is pushed aside during the formation of a channel (60) in the heart wall (50, 54), and substantially returns to a position coinciding with the channel (60) to act as a channel cap (53) to reduce bleeding from the channel (60).
Cette invention est un appareil et une méthode de revascularisation transmyocardique (TMR) dans laquelle le tissu épicardique (52) est poussé sur les cotés pendant la formation d'un canal (60) dans la paroi (50, 54) du coeur, et revient sensiblement à une position coïncidant avec le canal (60) afin de faire office de chapeau (53) du canal pour réduire le saignement provenant du canal (60).
