A travelling mold tunnel for molding profiled thermoplastic pipe, e.g. annularly or helically ribbed or corrugated pipe or even substantially smooth walled pipe, comprises a number of mold blocks which move forward together in an operating run and backstep individually to maintain their position in the operating run. Each mold block opens for its backstep. The return backsteps take place over the same path as that of the operating run and no mold block passes or leapfrogs any other mold block.
Tunnel de moule tunnel permettant de mouler un tuyau profilé en thermoplastique, par exemple un tuyau annulaire, à nervures hélicoïdales, ondulé ou à paroi plus ou moins lisse. Ce tunnel de moule comporte un certain nombre de blocs de moulage qui avancent ensemble sur un parcours de moulage et qui peuvent se déplacer individuellement à rebours pour conserver leur place sur ce parcours. Chaque bloc s'ouvre pour faire le déplacement en sens inverse. Ces déplacements suivent le même trajet que le parcours de moulage, et aucun bloc ne peut dépasser ou sauter par-dessus un autre.
