APPARATUS FOR MAKING HOLES IN THE GROUND Abstract An apparatus comprises a casing accommodating an axially movable expander made up of separate sections arranged about a circle at the periphery of the casing and movable in the radial direction. Provided at the outer surface of the casing is a main stop and an additional stop secured in the immediate proximity to the main stop and engageing by its outer surface with the inner sur- face of the sections of the expander. The outer surface of the additional stop is inclined toward a part of the casing which exerts action on the ground.
