Abstract of the Disclosure An apparatus for phase-cutting control which has a small bulk and permits direct connection of a light source to line voltages of 110 to 250 V, comprising a rectifier connectable to an AC voltage and to a transistor circuit (14), the output of which is connected to the light source (16), such as an LED or a multiple LED, and the light source (16) and a circuit board (42) or the like containing the rectifier and transistor circuit are disposed in a housing (36) with the light source (16) in the front part (38) of the housing (36). - 17 -
