This invention relates to an apparatus for power measurement of laser irra- diation. The apparatus according to the invention is comprised of a first elongate body forming a hollow space and consisting of a metallic wall of a small thickness. It has on a first longitudinal end thereof an opening for receiving laser irradiation. In the hollow space thereof it has at least in an area cov- ered by the laser irradiation a black and/or rough surface. On the first longi- tudinal end and on the second longitudinal end thereof it respectively has a heat detector as well as a further heat detector which can be respectively coupled to a means for processing electrical output signals of the heat detectors. A second elongate body surrounds the first body on the longitudi- nal sides and on the second longitudinal end thereof and, together with said first body, forms an intermediate space wherein a vaporable heat transfer medium can be inserted.

Ce dispositif comprend un premier corps (1) allongé qui contient un espace creux (2) et une paroi (3) métallique de faible épaisseur. A une première extrémité longitudinale (4), ce corps (1) comporte une ouverture (5) destinée à recevoir le rayonnement laser. Dans l'espace creux qu'il renferme, ce corps (1) comprend au moins une surface noire et/ou rugueuse dans une zone exposée au rayonnement laser. A sa première extrémité longitudinale (4) et à sa seconde extrémité longitudinale (6), ce corps (1) comporte une sonde pyrométrique (7, 8), ainsi qu'une autre sonde pyrométrique (16). Chaque sonde est reliée à un dispositif (12) qui traite les signaux de sortie électriques fournis par lesdites sondes pyrométriques. Un second corps (9) allongé entoure le premier corps (1) sur ses faces latérales et sur sa seconde extrémité et constitue avec ce premier corps un espace intermédiaire (10) dans lequel un fluide caloporteur (11) vaporisable peut être introduit.
