A platform apparatus for producing hydrogen gas from water includes a buoyant base configured for floating in a body of water, such as on the ocean, a vertical support member extending upwardly from the base, a wind turbine rotatably coupled to the support member for transforming the kinetic energy of wind into rotational energy, a generator coupled to the wind turbine for transforming the rotational energy generated into DC electricity, and an electrolysis apparatus affixed to the platform for using the electricity to extract hydrogen gas from water by the process of hydrolysis. The electrolysis apparatus preferably comprises an exchange chamber for storing water collected from the body of water, a pair of corrosion resistant electrodes, and a gas collection apparatus for collecting the hydrogen gas produced by electrolysis. The platform apparatus preferably includes a pumping apparatus powered by wave motion of the body of water for supplying water to the electrolysis apparatus. A gearing system preferably allows the generator to be driven at a greater rotational speed than the wind turbine.
La présente invention concerne un dispositif de plateforme destiné à la production de gaz hydrogène à partir de l~eau, comprenant une base flottante conçue pour flotter sur une étendue d~eau telle que l~océan, un élément de soutien vertical s~étendant vers le haut depuis la base, une éolienne couplée en rotation à l~élément de soutien et destinée à transformer l~énergie cinétique du vent en énergie de rotation, un générateur couplé à l~éolienne et destiné à transformer l~énergie de rotation générée en courant électrique continu, ainsi qu~un appareil d~électrolyse fixé à la plateforme, alimenté par le courant électrique et destiné à extraire du gaz hydrogène de l~eau par hydrolyse. L~appareil d~électrolyse comprend, de préférence, une chambre d~échange pour le stockage de l~eau puisée dans l~étendue d~eau, une paire d~électrodes anticorrosives ainsi qu~un appareil de collecte du gaz destiné à collecter le gaz produit par l~électrolyse. L~appareil de plateforme comprend de préférence un appareil de pompage alimenté en énergie par le mouvement de la houle de l~étendue d~eau et destiné à alimenter en eau l~appareil d~électrolyse. Un système à engrenages permet de préférence l~entraînement du générateur à une vitesse de rotation supérieure à celle de l~éolienne.
