The present invention provides an aqueous intermediate coating composition comprising: (A) a resin containing hydroxyl and carboxyl groups with a hydroxyl value of 100 to 200 mg KOH/g and an acid value of 20 to 50 mg KOH/g; (B) at least one curing agent selected from the group consisting of melamine resins and blocked polyisocyanate compounds; and (C) flat pigment particles; the molecular weight distribution of a curable resin component comprising component (A) and component (B) including from 30 to 50% by weight of a component with a molecular weight of less than 1,000, and 10% by weight or less of a component with a molecular weight exceeding 100,000; the proportion of component (C) being from 2 to 15 parts by weight based on 100 parts by weight of the resin component; and when the intermediate coating composition is applied to an undercoating film, pre-dried at 100°C for 30 minutes and then heat-cured at 145°C for 30 minutes, the film thickness shrinkage percentage of the cured coating film being 20% or less based on the film thickness of the coating film after pre-drying. The invention also provides a method for forming a multilayer coating film using the aqueous intermediate coating composition.
La présente invention concerne une composition aqueuse de revêtement intermédiaire comprenant (A) une résine portant des groupes hydroxyle et des groupes carboxyle qui a un indice d'hydroxyle allant de 100 à 200 mg de KOH/g et un indice d'acidité allant de 20 à 50 mg de KOH/g, (B) au moins un agent de durcissement choisi dans le groupe constitué de résines de mélamine et de polyisocyanates bloqués, et (C) des particules de pigment floconneuses, où le composant de résine durcissable constituant les composants (A) et (B) a une distribution de masse moléculaire où la teneur en composants ayant des masses moléculaires inférieures à 1 000 est de 30 à 50 % en poids et la teneur en composants ayant des masses moléculaires dépassant 100 000 est inférieure à 10 % en poids et la teneur en composant (C) est de 2 à 15 parties en poids pour 100 parties en poids du composant de résine et qui présente un facteur de rétrécissement de l~épaisseur de film inférieur à 20 % observé lorsque la composition est appliquée sur un revêtement primaire, pré-séché à 100 °C pendant 30 minutes, et ensuite durci sous un chauffage à 145 °C pendant 30 minutes et sur la base de l'épaisseur de film après le pré-séchage ; et un procédé de formation d~un film de revêtement multicouche avec la composition.
