2082625 9117890 PCTABS00008 The invention relates to an arrangement of an IR drier (2) in a sheet offset press (1) having a low sheet discharge conveyor and includes an IR battery (3) under which ready-printed sheets (4) are caused to be fed for drying ink fields on the sheets. The battery (3) being situated under or adjacent to the ink rolls (5) in the last stand (6) of a printing unit (14) in the press. The IR battery (3) is disposed for cooling with the aid of a closed cooling air system, in which a supply air fan (7) blows air into one end (8) of the battery, the air being exhausted from the other end (9) of the battery by an exhaust fan (10).
