An assay to simultaneously detect the presence or HIV antigen analyte and/or HIV-1 antibody and/or HIV-2 antibody in a test sample. The analytes are captured on either the same or different solid phases, and the presence of the analytes is determined by detecting a signal generated by analyte-specific indicator reagents.
