There is described a method for providing auto-stereo three-dimensional views from a plurality of points of view, the method comprising: providing an image on a substrate so that when the image is illuminated it will be perceived as sufficiently luminous, the image being made up of a plurality of cells; placing a barrier screen in front of the image to provide a parallax effect, the barrier screen consisting of an optical arrangement providing staggered apertures through which light can pass, each of the apertures defining a window onto one of the plurality of cells and configured such that a view of a neighboring cell is obstructed from all of the points of view; and illuminating the image using a light source, where the light source can also emanate from within the image.
L'invention concerne un procédé permettant de produire des vues tridimensionnelles autostéréoscopiques à partir de plusieurs points de vue, qui consiste à produire une image sur un substrat de façon que, lorsqu'elle est éclairée, l'image soit perçue comme étant suffisamment lumineuse, ladite image étant formée de plusieurs cellules; à placer un écran barrière devant l'image de façon à produire un effet de parallaxe, l'écran barrière étant constitué d'un dispositif optique fournissant des ouvertures décalées que la lumière peut traverser, chacune de ces ouvertures définissant une fenêtre sur une des cellules et étant conçue de façon qu'une vue d'une cellule avoisinante soit obstruée de tous les points de vue; et à éclairer l'image au moyen d'une source lumineuse, ladite source lumineuse pouvant également provenir de l'image.
