The invention relates to an automatic yarn-gripping installation comprising at least a first gripping member (12) which is used to grab at least one sheet of yarns, said member being guided by a first conveyor loop (1) to a second gripping member (16) which is, in turn, guided by a second conveyor loop (6). According to the invention, the sheet moves from one loop to the other by means of a control system which can be used to open and close the gripping members (12, 16).
