The bag handler is a attachment used to grip jute bags or other items that can be penetrated, it uses 2 pneumatic or hydraulic cylinders to rotate via a linkage 2 sets of protruding spikes at either end of a rectangular frame to hold on to the parcel to be lifted, To operate the bag handler it is lowered onto the item to be lifted via hoist and is activated with a switch forcing 2 pneumatic or hydraulic cylinders connected to the shaft lever/rotating shaft linkage to rotate the spikes towards themselves producing the gripping pressure required to hold the parcel to be lifted. The parcel then may be lifted with the assistance of the hoist and positioned where the operator dictates. To release the parcel the operator releases the cylinder pressure by deactivating the switch in turn rotating the spikes and releasing the grip.
