Benzoheterocyclic distamycin derivatives of formula (I) wherein: n is 2, 3 or 4; A is O, S, or NR, wherein R is hydrogen or C1-C4 alkyl; B is CH or N; R1 is hydrogen or C1-C4 alkyl; T is selected from: (i) formula (II) wherein: p is zero or 1; R2 and R3 are selected, each independently, from: hydrogen, C1-C4 alkyl optionally substituted by one or more fluorine atoms, and C1-C4 alkoxy; R4 is C1-C4 alkyl or C1-C3 haloalkyl; X1 is a halogen atom; and (ii) formula (III) wherein X2 is a halogen atom; and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, are described. Such compounds are useful as antineoplastic and antiviral agents.

L'invention concerne des dérivés de la distamycine benzo-hétérocyclique de la formule (I) et des sels pharmaceutiquement acceptables desdits dérivés. Dans ladite formule (I), n est 2, 3 ou 4; A est O, S ou NR (R étant hydrogène ou alkyle C¿1?-C¿4?); B est CH ou N; R¿1? est hydrogène ou alkyle C¿1?-C¿4?; T est sélectionné dans le groupe constitué par i) la formule (II) dans laquelle p est zéro ou 1; R¿2? et R¿3? sont sélectionnés, chacun indépendamment, dans le groupe constitué par hydrogène, alkyle C¿1?-C¿4? éventuellement substitué par un ou plusieurs atomes de fluor, et alkoxy C¿1?-C¿4?; R¿4? est alkyle C¿1?-C¿4? ou haloalkyle C¿1?-C¿3?; X¿1? est un atome d'hydrogène; et ii) la formule (III) dans laquelle X¿2? est un atome d'hydrogène. Lesdits composés sont utiles comme agents antinéoplastiques ou antiviraux.
