La présente invention concerne des dérivés de benzodiazépines représentés par la formule générale (I), des sels de ces dérivés et des médicaments utilisant ces dérivés et sels comme principes actifs. Dans cette formule, n est un entier valant de 2 à 5. R<1> représente un hydrogène, halogéno, C1-C4 alkyle inférieur, C1-C4 alcoxyalkyle inférieur, C1-C4 halogénoalkyle inférieur, cyano ou ester. R<2> représente un hydrogène, halogéno, C1-C4 alkyle inférieur, C1-C4 alcoxy ou hydroxy inférieur. Le pointillé représente la présence ou l'absence de la liaison. W représente C, CH ou CH2, ou N, sous réserve que lorsque W est N, Z se lie à W et que le pointillé dénote l'absence de liaison. Enfin, Z représente un noyau hydrocarbure aromatique éventuellement substitué ou un hétérocycle éventuellement substitué.
