A process for extraction of bioactive organic compounds from alkali extracts of Ascophyllum nodosum. Organic solvent extracts of A. nodosum namely; methanol, chloroform and ethylacetate, were found to alleviate salt induced stress in plants. This effect was due to alteration in the expression of a specific subset of genes induced by compounds present in A. nodosum extracts.
Linvention concerne un procédé dextraction de composés organiques bioactifs à partir dextraits alcalins dAscophyllum nodosum. Il sest avéré que des extraits dA. nodosum dans un solvant organique tel que le méthanol, le chloroforme et lacétate déthyle, apaisent un stress induit par un sel dans les plantes. Cet effet est dû à une altération de lexpression dune sous-population spécifique de gènes induite par les composés présents dans les extraits dA. nodosum.
