ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A method of inhibiting corrosion of metallic surfaces in a steam generating system is disclosed which comprises the step of adding to the aqueous phase of the system a non-oxygen containing alkylated diamine having at least two carbon atoms between the diamine nitrogen atoms.
