A broach (10) comprises an elongated body (14) having a plurality of longitudinally spaced pockets (44) therein. A threaded hole (64) is provided in each of the pockets (44). The pockets (44) are adapted to receive cutting inserts (12). The cutting inserts (12) have a hole that is adapted to align with a hole (64) in the pockets (44). The aligning holes are adapted to receive insert screws (62). The insert screws (62) are threadably received in the threaded hole (64) in the pockets (44). When a cutting insert (12) becomes worn or damaged, it may be removed from its pocket (44) and replaced with another cutting insert (12). Hence, the broach (10) need not be discarded because of a worn or damaged cutting insert (12).

Une broche (10) comprend un corps allongé (14) pourvu de plusieurs logements espacés longitudinalement (44). Dans chacun de ces logements (44) se trouve un trou fileté (64). Lesdits logements (44) sont conçus pour recevoir des pièces rapportées de découpe (12). Ces dernières (12) possèdent un trou destiné à s'aligner au trou (64) dans les logements (44). Les trous alignés sont conçus pour recevoir des vis d'insertion (62). Celles-ci sont reçues dans le trou fileté (64) des logements (44).
